This is a full time position on a 40 hr week basis, with extra hours to be undertaken during busy periods to meet business requirements. This position will be working across our soft landscape division undertaking, maintenance, planting, soft landscaping and a further wide variety of works.
The successful candidate/s will have the following attributes -
Must have at least 2 years industry experience.
Must have excellent plant and horticultural knowledge.
Excellent attention to detail.

Under the general guidance and support of the Managing Director, the position is both on-site and office based and will require good people management and numerical skills. The role will ensure that contracts are completed in a safe, timely manner and to a high-quality standard, where possible exceeding our client’s expectations. You will work closely with the senior project foreman to monitor and organise the on-site teams to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability of each project. You will also be responsible for producing quotes for new projects in a timely manner and analysing the outcome of each project to improve our processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
· Manage and oversee all domestic projects
· Prepare and communicate project plans to on-site teams
· Meet targets for each project, reporting any concerns immediately to the Managing Director
· Organise staff on our sites to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability whilst not compromising our high standard of work
· Organise and oversee sub-contractors
· Report to Managing Director on a regular basis with status of jobs and highlight any issues
· Meet with Team Leaders on site and report action points and issues
· Source and order materials for projects within budget
· Investigate efficiencies in supply chain and negotiate better deals with suppliers
· Monitor Health & Safety on site and address / report issues to the Managing Director
· Investigate options for systemisation of H&S such as Citation
· Be the first point of contact for the client during the project and manage client relationship alongside senior project foreman, ensuring the client is kept informed of progress / any issues that arise
Estimator
· Produce quotes / estimates for new projects in a timely fashion
· Set up system for producing quotes more efficiently & quickly
· Analyse completed projects and compare against quote to improve system
Additional
· To conduct yourself both internally and externally in a professional manner at all times, acting as a good ambassador for the company.
· Integral in building the Cunningham Gardens brand and keeping our clients happy
· Networking/building industry relationships - Attend industry seminars/meetings etc
· Accompanying Managing Director to business coaching & relevant seminars/events
· To undertake any other reasonable management requests
· To be a flexible, supportive and considerate member of the team
Knowledge & Experience:
· Relevant experience / qualifications in landscaping industry
· Understanding of the main aspects of landscape construction
· Advanced knowledge of H&S requirements
· Contract Manager experience
· Advanced knowledge of project plans and budgets
· Experience of working on more than one project at once
· The ability to meet deadlines
· Previous experience in landscape estimating
· Excellent literacy and numerical skills and experience of budget & financial management
· Excellent analytical skills
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
· Excellent knowledge of Xero accounting software

Key Responsibilities – Lead Landscaper
As Lead Landscaper, you will be responsible for leading and managing high-end residential landscaping projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the standard expected by our clients.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Project & Site Leadership
Leading and managing residential landscaping projects from start to completion
Supervising and directing a team of 2–3+ landscapers on site
Reading and interpreting design drawings accurately
Setting out sites, levels and finishes to specification

Reporting progress and any issues to senior management
Health & Safety

Preparing foundations, sub-bases and drainage correctly and efficiently

Planting shrubs and trees accurately in line with plans
Turfing and seeding to a professional finish
